On the first of the month (or as close as we could get) of each month during Hudson
’s first year, we took a photo of her with her turtle, so that we could see how much she was growing. The last one was taken in early December of last year, right around Hudson
’s first birthday, in her Christmas dress. So much life. So much joy.
Happy Birthday, precious, precious girl. We love you and miss you so much. We wish you were with us today to take a picture with your turtle on your second birthday.
Awesome pictures! I love them. She looks so beautiful and happy in every single one!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday, dear Hudson. You are loved and remembered by more people than you can imagine. We all wish you were here.
Happy Birthday, dear Hudson. Your Mama will keep you alive through her words and memories. Lots and lots of people are helping you watch over her, your Daddy, and your little Penguin.

What a delicious baby girl! And such a fun way to mark her growth!
ReplyDeleteI've been dreading today for you and Ed, Mandy, thinking it would very painful for you. I see from your posts, you are marking Hudson's birthday with the love she enjoyed for her whole life--fighting through the pain to focus on One Good Thing: that she was your sweet sweet girl, and she brought you immeasurable joy.
What amazing pictures and a great photo tracking idea. Such a treasure. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have really and truly never seen a happier baby. Happy birthday, sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteWe have been thinking of you all today. What beautiful pictures. That smile is forever with us. Your St. Ann's Family
ReplyDeleteIt sure is hard (and unnecessary!) to choose a favorite photo, but I think the one that captures my heart the very most is in the pink sunsuit with blue rickrack, her fabulous juicy thighs and the way she's holding on/holding herself upright with an expression that seems to be saying, "Hey, world! Whatcha got for me?! Here I come, ready or not!"

I love, love, love the first photo where she is standing up. Such pure joy there!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you, Hudson. We went out tonight to look at the stars, and said a wish for you and your mommy and daddy. Grady says that when we wish on a star it goes into our heart forever. I know that you are forever in the hearts of thousands and thousands of people, and that your light is still shining.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright light she is! So vibrant, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love these! She grew so big so fast and all because of you and Ed taking such good care of her.
ReplyDeleteThis blessed child knew so much love!
ReplyDeletethis is about the best thing i've seen in a long, long while
