Her book is wonderful and while I don't always agree with her politics, she always stood up for what she believed in and put family first. I love this quote from her. You write so beautifully about Hudson, and my heart breaks for all that you have loved and lost. She was a precious, sweet little person, and I love your stories and pictures.

My own beautiful girl, Caroline, died two years ago (December 9, 2008) from a brain tumor that was diagnosed the year before. She was just 14 years old. Prior to that she was the perfect picture of health. She was a treasure and we miss her so much.

Your quotation from Elizabeth Edwards inspired me to write tonight. After Caroline died, I read her book "Resilience" and it helped so much. Elizabeth Edwards was very wise, I was so sorry to hear that she passed away today.

You are in my thoughts and prayers - and, referencing a previous post, I completely believe in all the signs that you receive from Hudson. She is with you, and I believe that you will see her again, just as I will see my sweet Caroline.

With love and understanding and hope,

Carol Herrmann
www.caringbridge.org/visit/carolinehAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6239796424430952907.post-32218238662734739382010-12-07T22:12:34.255-05:002010-12-07T22:12:34.255-05:00Mandy, I heard that quote on the way home from wor...Mandy, I heard that quote on the way home from work today and thought immediately of you, and how you were doing the best you could with your new reality. I was actually just getting ready to look it up and email it to you.

AllysonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6239796424430952907.post-42047662573571573312010-12-07T22:00:56.636-05:002010-12-07T22:00:56.636-05:00I didn't know either of you, but I think you t...I didn't know either of you, but I think you two have a great deal in common.
